Company Overview

My client is a prestigious multi billion pound engineering firm who operate in a variety of sectors, this position sits in there automation function.

Role Outline

The Solutions Manager is responsible for developing and advocating key solutions needed to support my clients OEM customers. They will need to strategically think & create future opportunities to decide how best to bring together there products/3rd party products to create solutions. There will be an emphasis on going to meetings to discover customers needs & steer aware custom competitors. Subsequently there is a need for someone to have a technical background in automation so they can develop/understand bespoke solutions tailored to specific sites.

Responsibilities

Have/gain expert knowledge on relevant markets & products
Work closely with the product managers to develop solutions and deliver on future needs
Promotion of solutions to the market and sales team
Book & attend meetings with customers
Work with the solutions management team on overall strategy, goals & objectives
Report team’s key activities to your line manager on a monthly basis
Understand & comply with company policies & procedures

Requirements

Essential

HND in electrical/electronic engineering or other relevant discipline
Prior experience operating in the automation sector
Experience in solution selling

Salary & Package

£45,000 (+DOE)

Commission/bonus
