Role Outline

My client is looking for a Service Sales Specialist to join its market leading service department.

This is a very exciting and unique opportunity. The client sells service packages / maintenance etc to a wide variety of customers that use the business MV / LV equipment.

In the main you will be selling a wide variety of services and maintenance solutions

The position will be Home based but will report to the Coleshill Office. You will need to have plenty of solid experience in a sales environment, ideally from a Service sales background in the substation sector.

You will be developing business all the time and realistically be expected to be on the road meeting prospects 3 days a week meeting with 6 customers per week.

You need exceptional communication skills as you will be building relationships with targeted accounts. For around 80 % of the time you will need to be identifying and targeting new business to aid the growth of the department.

Overall the candidate needs to be outgoing and personable along with having a knowledge of substation service and experience in a similar role with tenacity and the drive to get stuck in and create a very rewarding future.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Selling services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for servicing and maintenance activities on the large installed base of MV / LV products
  • Provide customers with excellent support within the sales processes
  • Manage and drive growth within the product portfolio, managing pricing and margins to ensure that targets are met.

  • Keeping Salesforce up to date
  • Liaise closely with the company’s engineers and customers on both technical and commercial issues that arise as part of the tender development process
  • Attend and present at both external customer and internal meetings
  • Develop new customer leads
  • Forecast accurately and on time of orders

Requirements

  • HND / HNC or Degree in a related technical discipline
  • Proven track record in selling industrial service and support contracts
  • Willingness to travel within the Midlands
  • Competence in products, applications, markets and competition
  • Creative thinker with commercial focus, good technical understanding and results orientation
  • Presentation Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Positive, outgoing individual, Proven ability to engage clients over the phone and face to face
  • Need to be driven!
