Are you a Financial or Business Controller within a project environment looking for a new full time opportunity in Birmingham? Essential Requirments
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or a UK Accounting Certification.
Understanding of the UK accounting standards, relevant local Tax issues and IFRS accounting rules for construction contracts.
Minimum of ten (10) years of accounting experience, preferably within a project environment.
Good, analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills as well as ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and work under pressure.
Must have experience in managing a team.

Desirable Requirements
CPA title
Knowledge of engineering and construction (E&C) and or EPC business is a plus.
Proficiency in Office Suite, knowledge of VBA considered a bonus.
Experience working with SAP ERP an asset.
Experience with ERP migration is an asset.
Experience working with Oracle Hyperion an asset

Package
Starting salary £50-65k fully dependant upon level of experience

Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for all financial matters of our clients UK business,
Executing business strategy.
Drive a culture of accountability and simplification.
Responsible for the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of the legal entity.
Obtain a comprehensive understanding of project details and risk necessary for future planning, analysis and reporting; contribute to monthly and quarterly project reviews.
Active participation in the tender preparation process, assess commercial and financial risks and opportunities, contribute to defining mitigation plans for risks identified and action plans to materialize opportunities.
Produce annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, estimates and other reports requested by Corporate finance.
Responsible for the daily cash management of the legal entity. Responsible for securing guarantees and bonds, and implementing a proper hedging strategy.
Responsible for the coordination of relocation and facility management of the office space (real estate strategy).
Responsible for the internal controls and authorization process for all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Review and reconciliation of project status reports.
Establish an efficient process around billing, AR, AP, expense claims and payroll with shared service providers.
Within 3 months, lead the migration of UK current ERP (SAP) into Oracle.
Prepare accounting entries, project cost controlling reports, financial statements and banking statements.
Ensure compliance with company procedures.
Supervises the project controlling team.
